Paradise Cove

We could scream about Paradise Cove, an area along the beautiful Malibu coastline that had fecal matter dumped into the ocean for years by a local development. But for decades companies have been dumping into oceans. This is not news! The reason there are places we can’t swim, surf and eat is because of our garbage. We have to take responsibility for what we throw away. Whatever we create, we need to follow through and see how it will be discarded. That includes every item we throw in the trash. Each one us must become aware of every single thing we buy and we use and then throw away - including when you recycle. Decades of dumping have made people fall asleep to our part in this picture. We need to wake up and be accountable individually! This cannot only be a government issue, remember, there is still a great deal of harmful waste that can be dumped legally. We allow harmful, dangerous materials to be dumped in our waters and landfills all the time. Just because it’s legal is it really acceptable? At some point we need to wake up and realize it begins with us and it needs to stop.
