Haiti

blogpost4

We could probably sit around thinking of reasons why Haiti got hit.  What with the crippling hurricanes of the recent past, already people have started doing it.  But this is the time time to pray for the people, not to ask why it happened.

Haiti was already the poorest country in the western hemisphere.  With a population around 9 million, hundreds of thousands are feared dead.  Millions are estimated to be homeless.  Eye witness accounts say every building has damage.

Pacquiao/Mayweather Is Off

blogpost1.jpg

Can’t they just get over their differences, so we can all enjoy the fight?? When boxing matches get cancelled because ego and issues get in the way, the rest of the world misses out.? Whose testing standards will they use? Which name will come first on the poster? These are the issues that are delaying the most eagerly anticipated fight in the world?! The fans want to see a great match, great sport, but the egos of two contenders are in the way. Why can’t they find the middle and get over it? Can’t they put their issues and ego away?

Paradise Cove

blogpost3.jpg

We could scream about Paradise Cove, an area along the beautiful Malibu coastline that had fecal matter dumped into the ocean for years by a local development. But for decades companies have been dumping into oceans. This is not news! The reason there are places we can’t swim, surf and eat is because of our garbage. We have to take responsibility for what we throw away. Whatever we create, we need to follow through and see how it will be discarded. That includes every item we throw in the trash.
